AG Making it Work: Grant Season at ArtsGreensboro

'Tis the Season for Grants!

With the Artist Support Grant Cycle closing and the Grassroots Multicultural and Community Elevation Grants in full swing, the ArtsGreensboro team is inspired by our local arts community. We love reading about the creativity our grantees want to bring to the community. Each of these projects adds to the vibrancy and expressiveness of our neighborhoods, making Guilford County home. As a grant-making organization, we believe in equitable funding for all artists, regardless of discipline or experience, to enhance these experiences for all.

To make the grant process more accessible, ArtsGreensboro hosts workshops to help guide artists through the application. Our grants coordinator hosts these sessions and takes artists step-by-step through the process to ensure they understand the grant’s requirements and apply for the grant that best fits their artistic needs. The workshops dive into constructing a budget and data reports, ensuring that each applicant is prepared to submit.

ArtsGreensboro hopes to empower local artists to own their craft and take creative risks. One of the biggest obstacles artists face is a fear of rejection, especially for emerging artists and smaller organizations. Through transparency in our grant-making process, ArtsGreensboro wants artists to be confident in their work and feel encouraged when applying for funding. At the end of the grant cycle, regardless of award status, applicants receive constructive feedback to strengthen their grant writing skills for the future.

The Grassroots Multicultural Grant and Community Elevation Grant are currently accepting applications. For more information about these grants and upcoming grant workshops, visit artsgreensboro.org.
