Our Heroes: Celebrating and Honoring the Ones Who Made Us
Casa Azul of Greensboro is excited to announce the annual call for submissions to our Arts and Education Series 2025. A longstanding program of our arts and culture non-profit, the series brings together the breadth and depth of contemporary regional Latinx artists through specific themes and related programming. Past Arts Series have focused on the role of food in the cultural Latinx imagination, highlighted the influence of African heritage in Latin America, and told our stories and dreams through visual arts.
This year, we invite contemporary Latinx artists to submit work for consideration on the theme OUR HEROES: CELEBRATING AND HONORING THE ONES WHO MADE US. We encourage artists to interpret this prompt in ways big and small. A hero can be a person in their community who made a difference, a family member whose impact on the artist’s life was extraordinary, a historical figure who positively changed the world, and more.
The 2025 edition of the Casa Azul Arts and Education Series will open on September 3rd , 2025, and remain on view through October 18th, 2025 with relevant programming scheduled throughout the exhibition’s run.

Casa Azul de Greensboro se complace en anunciar su convocatoria de artistas para participación en su serie anual de arte y educación. Un programa reconocido de nuestra organización de arte y cultura, esta serie atrae artistas Latinx contemporáneos a lo largo de la región a través de exhibiciones y programas organizados con relación a temas del momento.
Este año invitamos a artistas Latinx contemporáneos a participar en esta convocatoria bajo el tema: Nuestros héroes: celebrando y honrando a los que nos hicieron. Invitamos a los artistas interesados a que interpreten este tema a su manera. Un héroe puede ser una persona en su comunidad que ha hecho una diferencia importante, o un familiar que ha tenido un gran impacto en la vida del artista, o una figura histórica que ha cambiado el mundo para mejor, y más.
La edición 2025 de la Serie de Arte y Educación de Casa Azul se inaugurará el 3 de septiembre de 2025 y permanecerá abierta al público hasta el 18 de octubre de 2025, con una programación relevante durante toda la duración de la exposición.
