On Monday, August 10th, Guilford County’s Emergency Management Director, Don Campbell, joined us for a zoom call to share details on how the Guilford CARES Small Business Assistance Grants work and how freelance artists can access these funds.
Recently, Guilford County temporarily closed the grant application portal to review the program and make adjustments. On Monday, August 3rd, the program reopened with a simplified version of the previous application.
County grants of up to $10,000 are now available to independent creatives whether they are paid on Misc 1099, have incorporated, are a sole proprietor, or operate under an LLC.
Even if you have previously applied, you may still be eligible for additional funding as guidelines have changed.
