On April 27, ArtsGreensboro presented Piedmont Direct Mail with the 2022 Arts in Business Award at the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce Small Business Awards. Laura Way, the president and CEO of ArtsGreensboro, presented the award to Mary McIver, the president of Piedmont Direct Mail.
ArtsGreensboro and Piedmont Direct Mail have a strong relationship in helping share art across Guilford County. The printing company prints out brochures, flyers, and posters for ArtsGreensboro. These resources are valuable for ArtsGreensboro to elevate and amplify the arts within the community. Recently, Piedmont Direct Mail helped ArtsGreensboro print over 13,000 wallet-sized poems to distribute to frontline workers across the city. McIver did not hesitate to help support the cause. McIver had her team print up the cards within days for ArtsGreensboro to distribute to Cone Health, Metro 911, and Guilford Emergency Services employees.
Working in partnership with the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce and the Guilford Merchants Association, the Arts in Business Award honors small businesses (both for-profit and non-profit) in the Greensboro area for leadership, commitment, and outstanding initiatives with the arts and arts organizations. These organizations incorporate art in the workplace, further the educational development of youth, enhance the economic vitality of the community and enrich the quality of life in the community.
