Call for Artists
The City of Mount Holly is seeking qualifications from professional artists, or artist teams, to work in collaboration with the Public Arts Advisory Commission and some select found objects from local residents to design and install a mosaic art wall on the retaining wall at Truist Bank located at 150 S Main in Mount Holly. The wall is 83 feet long, 8 feet tall on the North end, 3 feet tall on the South end, is approximately 458 sq. ft, while the mosaic installation will be completed over multiple segments/scenes, and will be approximately 100 sq. ft. of mosaic installations. Potential themes could include-local history, prominent events/individuals in in the City’s history, or nature. Many previous projects have tied back to our tagline for the City-Connecting Community and Nature. The City of Mount Holly will have the wall prepped before the start of the project.
