Cone Health Artist Call
Cone Health Seeks Artists for Two-dimensional Artwork at Guilford County Behavioral Health Center

CALL FOR ARTISTS
GREENSBORO – Cone Health is accepting applications for a signature art piece for the new Guilford County Behavioral Health Center. This prominent piece of original art can anchor the center’s goal of helping patients feel safe, hopeful and empowered.
The new Guilford County Behavioral Health Urgent Care Center provides timely access to mental health services for children and adolescents (ages 4-17) and adults presenting in a mental health crisis. Together, Cone Health and Guilford County have offered comprehensive and convenient behavioral health care to thousands of residents experiencing a mental or behavioral health crisis in a safe and comfortable space since opening in 2021. Cone Health believes that art is integral to creating a sense of hope, empowerment and a healing environment for all to experience.
Goals for the signature art piece project include:
- Fill the highly trafficked Sally Port Room, where patients check-in, with a piece of art that reflects our diverse community of patients and their unique experiences.
- Connect art and wellness in an engaging and meaningful way.
- Inspire wonder, openness, safety and compassion.
