Painting with Water Mixable Oil Paints

An event every week that begins at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, repeating until April 26, 2023
Join CAN-NC teaching artist Mavis Liggett at the CAN-NC Campus to learn how to paint with water mixable oil paints. Each week, students will learn to oil paint with images provided as inspiration. Along with oil painting techniques, students will learn the principles of color theory and composition to create a unique painting. Registration required.

Mavis Liggett has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Printmaking and has been a professional oil painter for over 20 years. Her work is in private collections from France to LA. In addition to this new venture with CAN-NC, she has taught oil painting and drawing for Art Alliance of Greensboro for 14+ years and is an artist-in-residence with Hirsch Wellness Network, leading a variety of creative workshops for cancer survivors.
