My first introduction to the arts began at the piano.
As a young girl, I took lessons and prepared for a recital that felt like one of the biggest moments of my life. I remember the discipline, the nerves, and the pride of completing something I had worked so hard to learn. Even today, I can still sit down and play that one song. While I didn’t fully pursue piano, that experience planted a seed—one that grew into a lifelong appreciation for creativity.
Creativity continued to find its way into my life through 4-H, summer programs, and community activities. I explored sewing, crafts, and hands-on artistic expression. I didn’t master every skill, but that was never the point. What stayed with me was the joy of creating, the freedom to try, and the confidence to express myself. Music and poetry, in particular, became personal outlets for reflection and imagination.
Over time, I came to understand that the arts are not just about talent—they are about expression, innovation, and identity. That belief shapes how I show up in my life and work. As a mother, I’ve encouraged my two young adults to embrace their creativity and pursue paths that reflect who they are.
Today, my connection to the arts lives on through my work with Infinity Bridges Inc., where I support artists, creatives, and cultural entrepreneurs in building strong, sustainable businesses. My goal is to help ensure their creativity not only thrives, but creates lasting impact.
My arts story isn’t defined by mastering a single craft—it’s defined by curiosity and respect for creativity in all its forms.
In many ways, I’m still playing that song—just on a much bigger stage.
