Greensboro, N.C., February 07, 2019 — ArtsGreensboro announced today that Jada Monica Drew will serve as the 2019 Chair for their annual ArtsFund campaign- Guilford County’s largest comprehensive annual fundraising effort to support arts organizations, initiatives and critical infrastructure in our creative landscape.

Drew is an independent change management consultant specializing in leadership and diversity. As a speaker, a trainer, and an author, she has played a key role in shaping organizations and professionals around the country to be more inclusive and equitable. Her passion for the arts has led her to serve six years on the Board of Directors for ArtsGreensboro and now chairs the fundraising efforts for the 2019 ArtsFund, which kicks off at the ‘Better Together’ themed reception hosted by ArtsGreensboro and Ms. Drew on Thursday, February 7th at VCM Studio in downtown Greensboro. “This is a celebration of our collective love of the arts. Greensboro and surrounding communities are a fertile ground for the continued tradition and growth of the arts. “says Drew. The reception will include live music, refreshments and an interactive art project for attendees to partake in. “I’m honored to be a part of an organization that invests in artistry and innovation of our residents. Better Together is not just our campaign theme, it is the essence of how we operate and who we are in the arts community.” Campaign goals and plans will be presented at the kickoff event which begins at 5:30pm and is open to artists, arts enthusiasts and arts supporters in the community.
