Invested In Your Art

When the local arts thrive, the whole community thrives. That’s why The Arts Council of Greater Greensboro invests in the creative and business practices of artists across our area.

Through grant funding and access to resources, we actively support artists and organizations, sustaining the arts ecosystem and helping artists live, work and stay in Greater Greensboro.

Our investments help artists and arts organizations serve the community, foster relationships, and provide access for all.

TYPES OF FUNDING

Artist Support Grants

Grant funding is available for artists in all disciplines to support their professional and artistic development. The Arts Council of Greater Greensboro provides grants ranging from $500 to $2,000 in the following counties: Davidson, Davie, Forsyth, Guilford, and Randolph.

Grassroots Grants

Multicultural arts organizations in Guilford County may apply for project and operations support through the Grassroots Multicultural Grant. Funding begins at $500 and requires a one-to-one cash match from the applicant.

Community Elevation Grants

Community Elevation Grants empower individual creatives, collaborations, as well as non-profit and for-profit art organizations to initiate community-uplifting projects that foster entrepreneurialism and promote business development in Greensboro’s most diverse and underinvested neighborhoods.

New Creative Investment

This initiative uses over $3 million to build a framework for a more sustainable arts sector in the Greater Greensboro area focusing on organizational sustainability and resiliency. It’s funded by Guilford County and the North Carolina Arts Council using allocations from the American Rescue Plan Act.
